Organic Moong Dhal is simply split Mung beans. Moong Dhal is high in phytoestrogens, calcium, protein, iron (non-heme), zinc, folate, complex carbohydrates and fibre. From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, mung beans are cooling and associated with stomach and spleen, tonify Yin and great as a detoxifying food - especially sprouted mung beans!
Remember that combining beans or pulses with a grain like rice gives you complete protein. Moong Dhal is traditionally used in many different Indian dishes that are nutritious and delicious!
We recommend storing in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
NOTE: Before use, legumes should be soaked. When ready to cook, discard the soaking water and briefly rinse. Please wash thoroughly, as they may contain some grit.
